This file contains supplementary information and restrictions on the use of DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder.

1. Overview of DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder
Working Folder is a service that enables you to access a storage area provided our company via the Internet to exchange documents and which can also be accessed via multi-function devices to print or scan documents.
DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder is software to access Working Folder from DocuWorks Desk.
If you are already registered as a Working Folder user, you can perform the following operations from DocuWorks Desk using DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder.
- Displaying the contents in Working Folder
In the folder area of DocuWorks Desk, you can display drawers and folders in Working Folder. When you select a drawer or folder in the folder area, the documents in Working Folder are displayed in the workspace area of DocuWorks Desk.
- Uploading and downloading documents and folders
Between a PC and Working Folder, you can upload and download documents and folders.*
- Checking out and in documents
You can check out, edit, and then check in DocuWorks documents, DocuWorks binders, and DocuWorks containers stored in Working Folder. *
Checking out means to lock a document and then download it. Other users cannot upload, delete, rename, and check out a checked-out document until it is unlocked. Checking in means to upload a new version of the document and then unlock it.
- Sharing documents
Documents stored in Working Folder can be shared with other users by notifying them of the document URL via e-mail. *
The users can download the documents by accessing the URL shown in the e-mail via a web browser, without logging in Working Folder.
- Operating documents
You can search, rename and delete a document in Working Folder.
- Operating folders
You can create, rename and delete a folder in Working Folder.
* Documents in a Secure Drawer cannot be downloaded, checked out, and shared.
Operations you can perform in DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder for a Secure Drawer include Listing of documents and folders stored in the Secure Drawer, and uploading of DocuWorks documents (.xds), DocuWorks binders (.xbd), and PDF files (.pdf) to the Secure Drawer.
Documents stored in a Secure Drawer can be viewed using a web browser. They cannot be downloaded.
1-1. Difference between 1.9.1 and 1.9.2
- Due to change of company name, the design of the screens has been changed.
- When sharing a document, using a URL containing a hyphen character after the symbol "@" caused an error. This problem has been corrected. (84810)
1-2. Difference between 1.9 and 1.9.1
- Fixed the problem where users in certain network environments may not log in to Working Folder via DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder. (#3506)
- Fixed the problem where automatic logging in may fail even if [Auto Login next time] is enabled. (#3779)
1-3. Difference between 1.8.1 and 1.9
- You can now log into DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder using your Office 365® account via linkage with Microsoft® Azure® Active Directory®.
- When attempting Share Document, adding an e-mail address occasionally failed. This problem has been corrected. (#3291)
1-4. Difference between 1.8 and 1.8.1
- Fixed the problem where DocuWorks Desk ends with an error if more than 90 minutes have passed between a DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder operation and the previous operation. (#3312)
- Fixed the problem where login information is not saved even though [Save Password] is enabled. This also fixes the problem where [Synchronize Files Directly Below Task Space with Files in the Cloud] in DocuWorks 9 fails. (#3313)
1-5. Difference between 1.7 and 1.8
- The contents of drawer and folder can now be displayed in [Temporary Folder] by specifying URL.
- Files with which you have worked using Working Folder can now be accessed from within the [Last Used File] folder for further operations.
- If you are using DocuWorks 9, files stored in Task Space can now be uploaded to/downloaded from Working Folder.
- You can now have the system remember your login ID and password so that you can perform auto login on subsequent logins.
- You are now not logged out automatically while the system remembers your login ID and password.
1-6. Difference between 1.6 and 1.7
- Windows Vista® is no longer supported.
- The permission setting can now be configured for each folder in the shared drawer.
1-7. Difference between 1.5 and 1.6
By accessing Working Folder from the web browser, you can now configure a protection settings template for the encryption drawer.
When uploaded to an encryption drawer set with this template, files are encrypted according to the protection settings template and then uploaded to the encryption drawer.
1-8. Difference between 1.4 and 1.5
- By contracting for Working Folder Plus and using it with DocuWorks 8 or later version, you can use the encryption drawer to encrypt uploaded DocuWorks files.
- The maximum document file size upload able is now increased to 1 GB.
- Shared Document is now due in 30 days.
1-9. Difference between 1.3.1 and 1.4
- The document display speed has been improved by locally saving the display document as a temporary file and using it when the document is displayed again.
- Files can now be uploaded in the background.
- E-mail addresses in the history list of Working Folder are now deleted when they are deleted from the history list of Shared Document using the Add from History List dialog box. (22976)
1-10. Difference between 1.3 and 1.3.1
- In the environment where DocuWorks 8.0.3 is installed, installation of DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder stops. (22953)
- In the environment where DocuWorks 8.0.3 is installed, users are now not able to select the setting that allows the document to be converted to DocuWorks document when uploading documents. To use the upload function that involves file conversion to DocuWorks document, DocuWorks to 8.0.4 or later version must be installed. (22953)
1-11. Difference between 1.2 and 1.3
- You can now set whether to convert files to DocuWorks Documents before they are uploaded to Working Folder when you perform one of the following operations:
- When you drag and drop files from Explorer or the desktop into the workspace area where items in Working Folder are being displayed.
- When you drag and drop files, from the workspace area where items in User Folder or Link Folder are being displayed, into the Working Folder folder being displayed in the Folder area of Desk.
- Delay in network communication with Working Folder resulted in abnormal exit of DocuWorks Desk. This problem has been corrected. (19466)
- For files immediately under the drive, it was unable to upload multiple selected files with the right-click menu. This problem has been corrected. (20940)
- When you attempted to open a DocuWorks container stored in Working Folder, it was opened with DocuWorks Viewer, even when [Open Document with Viewer Light] was selected for [Operation when opening the DocuWorks document]. This problem has been corrected. (21300)
- Downloading a file with [Split Window] applied to the workspace area of DocuWorks Desk resulted in missing of location information of thumbnails for documents stored in Working Folder. This problem has been corrected. (22497)
1-12. Difference between 1.1.1 and 1.2
- DocuWorks documents, DocuWorks binders, and PDF documents can now be uploaded to a "Secure Drawer", a new type of drawer for Working Folder.
- You can now check out, edit, and then check in DocuWorks documents, DocuWorks binders, and DocuWorks containers stored in Working Folder.
- Documents stored in Working Folder can now be shared with other users by notifying them of the document URL via e-mail. The users can download the documents by accessing the URL shown in the e-mail via a web browser, without logging in Working Folder.
- A new option, [Proxy Settings] has been added to the [Extended Folder for Working Folder Setting] dialog box. If your network is using a proxy server that requires user authentication, DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder can now be used by entering username and password required for proxy server authentication in this option. 1-13. Difference between 1.1.0 and 1.1.1
- When uploading documents with the right-click menu, files immediately under the drive sometimes could not be uploaded. This problem has been corrected. (20940)
- Files whose size is 0 byte can now be uploaded. (21024)
- Thumbnail of the "container", which is a new document format for DocuWorks 8, can now be displayed. (21300)
*DocuWorks 8 is required to open a container.
2. About Installation
Before you install DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder, please read the following notes.
2-1. Installation Requirements
To install DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder, the following systems requirements are needed by your computer.

2-2. Installation Precautions
- Before you install DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder, exit any running applications.
- The user who is performing the installation must belong to the Administrators group.
- If you abort the installation, DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder does not work correctly. To use DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder, try the installation again.
- When an error message meaning that the files cannot be saved is displayed and the [Browse for folder] dialog is displayed by clicking [OK], select a folder that is writable on the [Browse for folder] dialog.
- Do not change the folder configuration or move the files. Doing so means that full functionality is not guaranteed.
- If a previous version of DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder has been installed, perform an overwrite installation.
2-3. Installation Steps
- Execute the self-extracting format file downloaded from the web page and then execute "dwextfldrwf192ml.exe" in the extraction directory.
- When a dialog box to install Microsoft® .Net Framework appears, click [Install].
- On the screen to select language, select [English] and click [OK].
- On the [Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for FUJIFILM DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder 1.9.2] dialog box, click [Next].
- Confirm the contents of the license agreement, select [I accept the terms in the license agreement] and click [Next].
- Click [Install].
The installation is started.
When the installation is completed, the [InstallShield Wizard Completed] dialog box is displayed.
- Click [Finish].
When a dialog box asking whether you want to restart the system appears, click [Yes] to restart the system or click [No] and restart the system later.
- Start DocuWorks Desk.
- Confirm that [Working Folder] is displayed in the folder area of DocuWorks Desk.
2-4. Recovery Installation Steps
When DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder program is damaged or deleted, perform the recovery installation. The following explains the operations of the recovery installation.
- Log on as a user belonging to the Administrators group.
- Exit any running applications.
- Click the Microsoft® Windows® [Start] button and select [Control Panel].
- Click [Programs] > [Uninstall a program].
- From the program name list, select [FUJIFILM DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder 1.9.2] and click [Change].
- On the [Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for FUJIFILM DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder 1.9.2] dialog box, click [Next].
- On the [Program Maintenance] dialog box, select [Repair] and click [Next].
- Click [Install].
The recovery installation is started.
When the recovery installation is completed, the [InstallShield Wizard Completed] dialog box is displayed.
- Click [Finish].
When a dialog box asking whether you want to restart the system appears, click [Yes] to restart the system or click [No] and restart the system later.
3. About Uninstallation
Before you uninstall DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder, please read the following notes.
3-1. Uninstallation Precautions
- Files created in the install directory by users are not deleted.
- The user who is going to uninstall has to belong to the Administrators group.
- Exit any running applications before you start uninstallation.
- If you also want to uninstall the main unit of DocuWorks, uninstall DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder before the main unit of DocuWorks.
3-2. Uninstallation Steps
- Click the Microsoft® Windows® [Start] button and select [Control Panel].
- Click [Programs] > [Uninstall a program].
- From the program name list, select [FUJIFILM DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder 1.9.2] and click [Uninstall].
- On the dialog box to confirm the deletion, click [Yes].
DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder is uninstalled.
When a dialog box asking whether you want to restart the system appears, click [Yes] to restart the system or click [No] and restart the system later.
4. Notes and Restrictions
The following provides notes and restrictions for DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder.
- If you "copy" arbitrary document or folder using context menu, you may not be able to paste it using Explorer or other extended folders practically even when the "paste" menu is enabled. (18140)
- When you rename a document or folder, the thumbnail location of the renamed document or folder may be changed. (18882)
- When Working Folder server cannot retrieve the resolution of JPEG or TIFF files, the thumbnail size may be different from the one seen when the same file is thumbnailed in the user folder or link folder of DocuWorks Desk. (18910)
- If you log in when the [Login] dialog box is displayed after more than 60 minutes have elapsed with the Working Folder cabinet left open, you may not be able to access the opened cabinet. In that case, log out and then log in again. (18936)
- When you open a drawer or folder and the "Obtaining thumbnail images..." message is displayed on the status bar of DocuWorks Desk, if you repeat switching between thumbnail view and list view or switching with another folder, a crash may happen. (18951)
- Even if the [Preferences] dialog box of DocuWorks is configured with "Use associated application to import PDF" enabled for [Import Files] > [Process for converting application file], this setting does not affect DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder. (23208)
- In thumbnail display on DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder, text pasted to DocuWorks containers may be garbled. (23210)
- When documents in FUJI XEROX DocuShare Extended Folder for DocuWorks are uploaded to DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder in the background, the [DocuShare Download] dialog box might be displayed. DocuWorks Desk cannot be operated while this dialog box is displayed. (23215)
- If you click the [Cancel] button in the dialog displayed while uploading document, the message "The stored document will not be displayed because the required access rights is missing." may appear. Regardless of this message display, the functions of DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder will be available without any problem. (23187)
- Even if your Secure Drawer is configured to allow the download using the web browser, the download from DocuWorks Extended Folder for Working Folder is not available. Use the web browser when downloading documents from Secure Drawer. (23263)
- When you move a folder that is set with [Inherit Parent Permission] to [Inherit], the folder may inherit the permission setting of the destination folder and the permission setting may change.
- Without having the permission to a parent folder, you cannot access the subfolders even when you are given the permission to the subfolders.
